Hidden is the name of a very important, High ranking Japanese Naval Officer. He was traveling covertly as to not allow a leak or a breach of Naval codes to give away his presence.

 

Mizuno Ichiroo with the Japan Optical Works is now Nikon, a Mitsubishi company.

 

Gamoo Satonobu actually was going to Germany to work on the V-2 rocket for Japan. I’ve met the Gamoo family and they are among the most interesting  and nice people I have ever met.

OPERATION RISING SUN

I first discovered this document on May 2, 1990. I had come across many document before of I-52, but none that described two tons of gold being onboard. I began my search to locate the original intercepts that gave the intelligence officer the information he typed in under Note:

 

I had help from John Taylor in the US Archives. He called the National Security Agency to find out if they had it and ask when it would be declassified and released.

 

The source documents were released to the Archives in the following few weeks.
